Tell Me A Story - NYCC 2018

The cast of Kevin Williamson's fairy-tale thriller Tell Me a Story dropped by New York Comic Con on Friday to unveil the official trailer for the upcoming series, and if you dare to watch, you'd better brace yourself for some thrills, chills and a disheveled Paul Wesley being stalked by James Wolk.
Premiering Wednesday, Oct. 31 on CBS All Access and set in present-day New York City, the show turns classic fairy tales like "The Three Little Pigs" and "Little Red Riding Hood" into dark tales of love, loss, greed, revenge, and murder. The series is based on the Spanish-language series Érase una vez from Marcos Osorio Vidal.
During the show's panel, the cast also offered up a look at the first episode. In the clip, Wesley's Eddie, a derelict and troubled individual whose petulance is fueled even more by his problems with drugs and alcohol, is seen sprawled out on his ratty bed wearing nothing but tighty whiteys--a far cry from his hero hair days as Stefan Salvatore on The Vampire Diaries. He's awakened by Michael Raymond-James's character, who delivers a pig mask and a firm warning not to mess up their top-secret plan.
The scene then cuts to a fresh-faced Wolk jogging through the street, passing by Dania Ramirez's character on a bike before landing on a very angsty Danielle Campbell's Kayla, who's not happy about her move to the Big Apple. After dropping a few F-bombs — this isn't broadcast TV, after all — she heads downstairs for breakfast with her grandmother, played by Sex and the City's Kim Cattrall. It's clear that these characters are all connected, but we don't know how just yet. Aaaand there's your overarching mystery!
The all-star cast also includes Billy Magnussen, Dorian Missick, Davi Santos, Sam Jaeger, and Zabryna Guevara.
Tell Me a Story premieres Wednesday, Oct. 31 on CBS All Access.
(Full disclosure: TV Guide is owned by CBS.)
